Today’s game will be televised by ESPN2 with tipoff at 4:03 p.m. Dave O’Brien and Dick Vitale will be on the call. It is Vitale’s first visit to Hilton Coliseum.

Legendary coach Johnny Orr will be in attendance. Orr is the winningest coach in school history at both Iowa State and Michigan.

An Iowa State win…
…would make Iowa State 3-0 for the third time in four years under Fred Hoiberg.
…would be the Cyclones’ highest over a ranked team since beating No. 5 Kansas on Jan. 28, 2012.
…would give Iowa State wins over ranked opponents at Hilton Coliseum in five of the last six meetings.
…would be Iowa State’s first over Michigan since 1990.

– A school-record 25 NBA scouts have requested credentials for Sunday’s game.
– Georges Niang is set to make his 25th start in a row.
– Matt Thomas has scored in double figures in his first two games. The school                        record to start a career is nine games (Adam Haluska). Fred Hoiberg did it in his                    first five games.
– Today’s game sold out in under 10 minutes. It will be the second sellout this                        season and the 13th in the last three seasons.
– Monté Morris and Michigan guard Derrick Walton Jr. were teammates with the                 AAU program Michigan Mustangs.

Did you know?
The leading scorers at both schools, Jeff Grayer (Iowa State) and Glen Rice (Michigan), played together at Flint Northwestern.
