When Iowa State takes the court at Hilton Coliseum in November it will have a fresh look and the Cyclone players love it.
“The new jerseys are nice,” Naz Long said. “They definitely have a lighter feel to them. I like them.”
According to assistant director of equipment operations Ryan Zluticky, the players will find the shorts are very lightweight and have ventilated slots on the sides that are there to help with keeping them from getting heavy. The weight of the shorts is supposed to be 68% lighter and dry 30% faster than the previous shorts. They also have a fuller hemline for mobility.
The jerseys feature a noticeable “Cyclone” pattern on the ventilated portion, making it a custom uniform that no one else in the country will have. Other teams will have a uniform that looks similar, but the “Cyclone” pattern will make it unique.
What do you think about the new uniforms? Discuss it below with fellow Cyclone fans!

They finally did it. They used my idea I set them 4 years ago after seeing the Texas jerseys.

Outstanding! This may seem nit-picky, but Dr. Ejim’s drawstring is sticking out on the first image. They look great!

Veryphil – I didn’t notice the drawstring until I got back to the office with the CD. Wish I would have seen it earlier!

Regardless, the photography is outstanding and the little string is easily removable in Photoshop if necessary. You guys do an amazing job promoting the team! GO CYCLONES!

I wonder why they chose Naz Long to be in this picture…Has Fred decided he is going to be our guy at PG this year??

I think it’s an improvement. Was there any discussion about getting uniforms that are unique to Iowa State (besides the watermark cyclone on the back) as opposed to the new Nike stencil that 40 other teams will have? Other than the fact that ISU may play 3 or 4 other teams with the same jerseys (again, aside from the watermark), I like them. I think I would appreciate something even more unique to ISU, though.

Will I be able to purchase a pair of shorts like these in Eastbay Mag? Like other Nike Elite teams.
